Top-Rated Seamless Gutter Installation Pros

Seamless aluminum gutters have emerged as the leading design of water management systems throughout the country.  In contrast traditional systems are, and have been designed with multiple seams incorporated throughout their systems. As a consequence over time these systems have resulted in multiple failing joined seams.  Moreover, these leaking joints posed many concerns.  The destruction of walkways/drives, ice, rust, and erosion compelled manufacturers and companies alike to design an alternative.  Henceforth, the emergence of seamless gutters have taken the industry by storm.

Many years later thousands of Mid-State Seamless Gutters customers throughout the Twin Cities have embraced the concept of seamless gutters.  Most importantly, with every Mid-State Seamless Gutter installation a lifetime warranty is offered.  Please take the time to read our reviews on Angie’s List.  We are proud to say we have been the recipients of the prestigious Angie’s List – “Super Service Award” since 2010.  Thank you all for sharing your voice with us.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to install my new gutters?
The time it takes to install your new Minnesota gutters depends on several factors, such as the size of your home, the type of gutters you are getting installed, and even the shape that your house is in. If your previous gutters were not installed correctly, there could be water damage along the roof and even rotted wood. If this is the case, it will take much longer to install them because the wood will need to be replaced. Weather also plays a part in the time factor. However, in most normal circumstances, your the installation process can be done in just one day.
What is the best way to avoid clogged gutters?
Clogs can render your rain gutter system practically useless. If you have too much debris built up, the water will not flow to the downspouts and out to the ground. When winter comes, that rain and snow can freeze and damage your guttering system as well as the wood on your home. That’s why it is so important to keep your gutters clean. Leaf guards are ideal for keeping them free of debris. You can also choose to hire us to install gutter guards or screens that keep the debris from getting into them in the first place. When you hire one of our professionals to clean your gutters and install one of these products, you can be assured it will be done right and they will be virtually maintenance free after that.
How often should I clean my guttering system?
Nobody likes cleaning their gutters, but it is an essential part of owning a home if you want to protect its foundation and its structure. Your gutters should be cleaned about three times a year in Minnesota. You should clean them after autumn when all the leaves have fallen so you can get those pesky things out of there before the rain and snow arrive. The next time you should clean them is in early spring so you can remove any debris and leaves that accumulated during the winter months. Then clean them once again during the summer to clear out any other debris that accumulated during the springtime. If you are afraid of heights or simply do not have time to do that, call a company like Mid-State for an estimate on our gutter cleaning services.
What are seamless gutters?
Seamless gutters are a stronger type of gutter than the traditional systems with joints and connections along the span of the materials. As such, seamless systems are stronger and more attractive than traditional ones. You won’t see any seams on these gutters except around the downspouts and corners because the material is just one long piece that can run the entire length of your home.
Should I replace my gutters or just repair them?
If your gutters simply need to be patched, resealed or repitched, you can usually just get one of our Minnesota specialists to do the job right so you can get many more years of use and enjoyment out of your current ones. If, however, the gutters are deteriorating and pulling away from the house, you should look at replacing them. If they are not sealed against the home’s structure, there is a chance that the wood could have water damage and some of it may be rotting. There may also be mold growing which can be a health hazard if it seeps into the walls and into your home. Call our replacement specialists for a quote on replacing your gutters before they get worse.
How can I tell if my gutters are not draining the way they should?
You should see water coming out of your downspouts when the rain is coming down. If there is not much water coming from your downspouts, your they are probably clogged. Another sign of clogged gutters is water overflowing and dripping over the sides of them. Either way, you should have them cleaned out as soon as the weather permits. You can even call our Mid-State’s experts to do the job for you!
What types of guttering systems do you offer?
We offer a number of guttering systems to fit your home’s needs. Whether you are looking for half round copper, traditional aluminum gutters or seamless ones, we can provide you with everything you need to protect your home from runoff rainwater. We also have various shapes and colors to match your home’s exterior decor and provide that extra special touch.
How much will it cost to replace my gutters?
The price of new gutters depends on the type you want and the size of your home. We cannot provide a general price without knowing this information. You can also expect to pay more if you want to add leaf guards to your guttering system so they’re more maintenance-free.
What are leaders and downspouts?
Leaders and downspouts are essentially the same thing. This is the part of a guttering system that leads from the top of the house to the ground. When the rain falls in, it flows toward the downspout (or leader) and it is released several feet from the home’s foundation.
What if I have water damage to my home?
If your home has water damage, Mid-State may need to do some extensive work before attempting to attach the new gutters to the home. It is impossible to attach them to rotted wood and, depending on the amount of water damage and rotted wood, you may need to hire a company to repair the damage before we can install the new system.
How can I prevent my gutters from getting clogged?
The best way to prevent your gutters from getting clogged is to install a leaf guard or some other product that prevents debris from landing inside your gutters. Mesh or screening materials are also ideal for keeping leaves out of the troughs. Our Minnesota rain gutter professionals have experience with these types of materials and we can install any of these products with your new system or on your existing ones. We will also clean the gutters out beforehand to allow the water to flow freely during the rainfall. Once one of these products are installed, you can relax and enjoy your maintenance-free system!
